Osteopathic Clinical Practice
My clinical practice began in 1996 after I graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Osteopathic Medicine. Over the years, I have continued to deepen and broaden my skills by undertaking a wide range of continuous professional development programmes. I am qualified in Clinical Pilates and Medical Acupuncture. This has equipped me with a range of skills to help people out of chronic pain and back into movement without solely relying on the "hands-on" aspect of osteopathy.

Naturopathy, Nutrition, Health and Wellbeing
I have a Diploma in Naturopathy from the British College of Osteopathic Medicine, an MSc in Public Health Nutrition from the University of London and have undertaken Applied Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice with the Institute of Functional Medicine. With these diverse qualifications, I am able to provide you with a wealth of nutritional information and knowledge, adapting to your unique requirements.

Teaching
I taught at BCOM from 2000 to 2023, where I tutored technique classes, wrote and delivered new courses in gut physiology, nutrition and visceral osteopathy, and set up and ran a student nutrition clinic. My experience in teaching and writing courses has allowed me to hone my knowledge base, keep abreast of developments in the field, and integrate different disciplines. In my clinical practice, I view educating clients about their issues as a crucial element in the process of change.

Counselling and Coaching
Knowing what you need to do to improve your health status is not enough and making necessary changes can be challenging. That's why I have spent the past four years equipping myself with an eclectic range of psychological approaches. I have built on basic coaching and counselling skills by undertaking training in Systemic Constellations, Shock Trauma Therapy, and Coaching for Executive Function Skills.

Pregnancy Support
I trained in the Mummy MOT in 2016 with women's health physiotherapists and really enjoy supporting women through the journey of pregnancy and managing the challenges of the post-natal period.
Yasmin Wurjes
Associate Osteopath
I graduated from the British College of Osteopathic Medicine with a 1st gaining both an MSc in Osteopathic Medicine and a diploma in Naturopathy. Having a keen academic lens means I enjoy keeping abreast of developments in the field and being able to offer patients a current evidence-informed approach. I enjoy researching aspects of each presentation in order to provide a personalised and holistic approach to everyone.
Prior to my osteopathic education I had always been interested in movement and the body, having a background in contemporary dance and additionally as a qualified yoga teacher which required 500 hours of supervised learning. I am therefore in an excellent position to give personalised movement and exercise advice to support my hands on treatments.
With a calm and compassionate approach, I ensure that every patient feels heard, understood, and supported on their journey to recovery and optimum wellbeing.
